Our credit derivatives desk, Credit Trading & Structuring (CTS), offers investment tools in G3 and a range of local currencies to provide structured asset solutions that help you to:
- meet your specific investment needs for maturity, currency and cashflows
- achieve target yields on your portfolio
- manage credit risk exposure.
CTS also offers innovative investment ideas and relative value plays that provide yield enhancement over its cash equivalent. We specialise in trading Asian credits, providing secondary market liquidity to investors for all Standard Chartered Bank-originated investment products.
Our local currency and G3 derivatives capabilities are backed by effective marketing and distribution in both onshore and offshore markets. We provide strong research and after-market trading support for every transaction.

Many of these investments products can be structured in the form of swaps, notes, deposits and (in some situations) loans. Our credit risk management tools include credit default swaps, total return swaps and bond options.
Two teams, one thing in mind - your financial needs
Based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, London and Mumbai, the CTS is comprised of two teams:
The trading team trades credit derivatives and bond options in various currencies. They normally determine the pricing for transactions, manage risks and transact with market counterparties.
The structuring team structures transactions to suit the needs of clients and liaise with their sales, relationship and support function colleagues to ensure that each transaction is executed smoothly and in a timely fashion.
