Peter joins the Bank from HSBC, where he managed core service delivery and central support services for HSBC’s sub-custody network.  Prior to this, Peter worked with JPMorgan in network management and operational roles based in Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Sydney.  Peter has 14 years of experience in the Security Services industry, including tenure in securities operations, network management, operational risk and quality management, and business improvement.

Commenting on this recent hire, Neil Daswani, Global Head of Securities Services for Standard Chartered Bank said, “As a part of our key objective of growing the senior management bench strength within the Securities Services team at Standard Chartered, I am delighted that we have hired Peter Wells who joins us from the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank. On joining Standard Chartered Bank, Peter Wells shared, “Standard Chartered’s Securities Services business is mature, well-respected, and growing at a tremendous pace. I feel privileged to join the management team which will take the Securities Services business model to the next level for its clients.
